7 dark days

The first day He said let there be light,
I drew my window shutters to close.
Second day He created the sky,
I stared at my room ceiling and into nothingness
The third day land, seas, plants and trees,
And I ordered food and ate in the dark.
The fifth day He created life that crawl, swim, fly and walk,
And I lay motionless in my bed staring at the same ceiling.
The sixth day He created me in his image,
And I drew the veil over the mirror for –
Even the shadows won’t cast a reflection.
The seventh day He rested,
And I tried opening the window shutters,
But, then again I went back to my bed –
To the memories that keep me breathing.
